casia sobolewski

Sex Educator since 2009

Hi! My name is Casia (pr. Cash-a, she/her).

I am an erotic practitioner that balances between sacred intimacy, subtle nervous system awareness, profane divinity, and profound presence.

I support humans who: are not in touch with their pleasure, have experienced sexual trauma, are wanting a space to focus on the erotic aspect of themselves with integrity.

I work virtually with groups, virtually one:one, in-person one:one, on retreats, and I also offer couples work alongside my partner, husband and baby daddy, Cosmo Meens.

How did I get here?

I knew at the age of 15 that sexuality was my vocation. Unfortunately ‘sex educator’ wasn’t a job title that was presented to me until my 20s.

At 21 I began running ‘Body Pride’ workshops: gatherings of humans to experience being naked in a structured, non-erotic setting, to talk about our bodies and sex and relationships, culminating in a naked dancing photoshoot. This workshop was turned into a short documentary that continues to be shown at international film festivals.

These workshops introduced me to many like-minded humans, and a group of us started hosting queer community events company called “I’d Tap That” in Toronto for over 3 years.

In turn, this inspired us to begin “Spit” a queer alternative porn company, producing feminist content that was in alignment and powered by the people in our community. after winning multiple awards from the Feminist Porn Awards, Spit has retired and is no longer active.

All of these projects inspired me to pursue sexuality as a career and I completed my Holistic Sex Educator certification, received training from the International Professional Surrogates Association, and got certified as a Somatic Sex Educator and Sexological Bodyworker.

some more about my positionality beyond my sex-relevant work life…

I am a English-speaking second generation settler to Canada, of Polish and Scottish/Irish ancestry, and currently live on the unceded Coast Salish, W̱SÁNEĆ and Lekwungen territories, colonially known as Victoria on Vancouver Island in Canada. I am the displaced granddaughter of war refugees, and carry the somatic grief of being disconnected from any land or pre-patriarchal traditions my body might know and longs for. Born Caitlin Roberts, I changed my name to reflect my mother’s Polish ancestry when my daughter was born, as a practice of returning to matrilineality. My daughter also carries my last name.

I am a Mother to one and step-Mother to three. I am a devoted sister, daughter, friend, and partner. The identifier Queer has always been close to my heart: as a lifestyle practice and orientation.

I have some University education (I never finished my degree and likely never will), and currently live within a middle socio-economic status, with strong family support. Though choosing this career path has been in part an escape from a 9-5 desk job, it is continuously living in a not-knowing of what the next pay check will be. Your choice to work with me is a choice to support our family and home, and to put energy into matriarchy, embodiment, connection, and community. I stand for LGBTQ2SI communuties, I stand for Free Palestine, I stand for Mother Earth and her children.

My hope and desire: to support those who also want to access exquisite pleasure and joy in their bodies, creating a pathway of existence that is full of profound feeling and magic.
